Victoria Village Activity Centre offers exciting recreation, education, and fitness opportunities to adults in the City of Barrie.   Located within a multi-faceted facility, and operated by the City of Barrie Leisure, Transit and Works Department, the Activity Centre offers over 14,000 square feet of rooms designed for community use.  The Centre is on the second floor with the main entrance and parking located off Toronto Street.

This facility boasts a fitness centre complete with weight training equipment, a computer lab, a woodworking shop, a library resource areas, meeting rooms, activity rooms and a large multi-purpose room; ideal for weddings and large events!

Our goal is to provide quality recreation and leisure services to support our active and healthy community; consult our Recreation and Leisure Community Guide for a detailed listing of all courses and registered programmes.

COMPUTER LAB

Do need to update your resume? Do you need to find something online? Or are you simply interested in spending some time on a computer?  Drop by our computer lab; we have lab passes and times available for all schedules and budgets.  Passes are available for purchase at our front desk. FITNESS CENTRE

Check out The City of Barrie’s newest fitness centre for a class or to use our equipment.  Pass holders receive an orientation of our machines, free weights and cardiovascular equipment to get you started.   A wide range of registered courses are offered; please refer to the latest version of the Recreation and Leisure Community Guide.

WOODWORKING SHOP

Our shop is up and running with a band saw, lathe, table saw, router, planer, and so much more.  We offer registered courses to get you started and seminars to advance your skills plus open centre times so you can work on your projects.  Passes are available for purchase at our front desk.  Courses and seminars are offered; see the Recreation and Leisure Community Guide for detailed descriptions.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Victoria Village Activity Centre is open 8:30 am - 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 - 4:30 on Friday, with weekend courses offered throughout the year.
